About the Item

A very good silver plated spirit decanter coaster featuring a high walled body flaring rim rising from a turned wooden base, the underside lined in red baize. This particular style of coaster was specifically designed to shield spirits such as brandy, or fortified wines such as port or sherry from the heat of a fireplace. Note: the decanter shown in these images is used solely for illustration purposes and is not included in the sale of the coaster.
