Gorgeous early 19th century pair of Old Sheffield Plate three light candelabra by the renowned Matthew Boulton. Gracefully curved arms with fluted detail and acanthus leaves intertwine around the central column and branch out to create a dramatic form. These are detachable and may also be used as single candlesticks. The pieces display their acquired, beautiful patina which highlights the intricate details and for those who appreciate the soft luster of an authentic, aged appearance. However, if you prefer, we would be more than happy to polish. Perfect for a magnificent table setting and entertaining as they are poised tall to ease conversation amongst your guests and are also an excellent choice for the collector. Both are clearly stamped with the Matthew Boulton twin suns hallmarks on the bases and underside of the candelabra as well as an eagle crest family heraldic symbol on the bases.
