About the Item
A finely engraved Victorian silver-plated salver by Walker
Hall, Sheffield, bearing the pattern number 3551. This large circular salver stands on three cast scroll feet and features a beaded and gadrooned border, pierced gallery work, and a beautifully chased band of foliate scrolls interspersed with engraved anthemion motifs. The centre is engraved with a monogram cartouche, likely original to the piece, and framed by an elegant ring of bright-cut engraving.
