About the Item

Classic high-quality silver-plated tea and coffee set (Hard Metal), the oval-shaped pieces are embellished with elegant and elaborate engravings that frame the initials "M-G"; the milk jug and the sugar bowl have beautiful and strong gilding to their inside, the marks printed on all the objects belong to the George Shadford Lee Henry Wigfull company founded in Sheffield in 1871, the production date is between 1871 and 1879 (see page 87 of "Sheffield Birmingham Victorian Electroplaters Book of Marks" by Andrea De Giovanni). An ancient and magnificent service in excellent condition. Measures depth. cm.10, width cm.14, height cm.22. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.
