An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique George V English sterling silver presentation bowl; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection
This exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver bowl has a circular rounded form to a circular domed foot.
The body of this sterling silver bowl is embellished with an impressive band of engraved decoration to the upper portion incorporating alternating vacant cartouches.
Each cartouche incorporates a scrolling leaf design to the lower portion, in addition to a pensile leaf design to the nadir.
The upper rim of the bowl is encompassed with an applied moulded border.
This exceptional bowl was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Goldsmiths
Silversmiths Co Ltd and bears the retailer's mark 'Goldsmiths
Silversmiths Ltd, 112, Regent St W' to the underside.
Condition
This antique sterling silver bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The bowl has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bowl are very clear.
