An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver quaich style bowl; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection.
This exceptional antique George VI English sterling silver bowl has a plain circular rounded form onto a circular spreading foot.
The body of this silver quaich bowl is plain and unembellished, apart from a band of applied moulded decoration to the rim.
This antique bowl is fitted with an exceptional quaich style hand piece ornamented with applied scrolling leaf and floral motifs, all on a matte background.
The terminal of the handle is embellished with further applied scrolling leaf designs accented with floral medallions and a bead decorated border.
The underside of this impressive collectable silver bowl bears the retailer's mark 'Reid
Sons, Newcastle-On-Tyne'.
Condition
This antique silver quaich bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The bowl has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The applied decoration is all very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body have wear in keeping with age, but remain legible.
