About the Item

Magnificent box Napoleon III in lacquered wood and gold with hors d'oeuvres or cheese in silver and mother-of-pearl handle with monogram. Hallmark of the master goldsmith Touron in Paris, guarantee hallmark, old man's hallmark from 1819-1838. The box consists of 12 hors d'oeuvre knives arranged in compartments covered with blue velvet. Finely engraved decoration of Asian characters and plants. Four feet in the shape of a dragon's head. Excellent condition and remarkable quality. Probably not been used.
