About the Item
Mahogany vertical piano miniature with 925 sterling silver inserts and details.
In the upper part, the silver is pierced with drawings of children picking fruit and playing.
The central design is positioned between two columns, also in silver.
The key-cover is in smooth Sterling Silver as are the columns at the bottom of the piano.
Between the two columns the decoration is floral and engraved.
Italian silverware, already with a centuries-old tradition, had a great development in the twentieth century and produced pieces of the highest quality that the whole world envies. Italian craftsmanship had a kind of new Renaissance after the war.
A great many high-quality silverware was born where exceptional pieces were produced that now decorate the most prestigious houses.

Faithful copy of the writing service by the silversmith Pietro Rubini, Milan c.1775
The inkstand is composed of a shaped tray supported by 4 rocailles feet, modeled along the entire profile by finely embossed and chiselled volutes, leaves and shells.
Above the tray are two ink holders and two pen holders with spiral workmanship and highly embossed vegetable decorations.
A bell in the center of the object rests on a FASTIGIO pierced with flowering vines.
