About the Item

A superb large and rare Edwardian silver pin cushion in the shape of a standing camel, made by Adie Lovekin Ltd. in Birmingham, England, 1906. Novelty pin cushions such as this were a speciality of Adie Lovekin Ltd., a firm founded in Birmingham England by James Adie and Alfred Lovekin in 1863. This particular piece is larger than average and is beautifully modelled as a camel. It is in very nice condition and has nice clear hallmarks. There is also an old dealer’s mark scratched alongside the hallmarks. It is a fantastic pin cushion by a great maker in great condition.
