A large pair of antique Victorian era sterling silver sugar tongs. A relatively plain design, no engraving, they are substantial pair, large with a good weight to them. They hail from Exeter which is a lesser seen hallmark than London or Birmingham for example. Fully hallmarked for sterling silver Exeter, 1849, maker John Stone. Approx measurements: 5.6" length 0.50" width at the widest point Weigh 30 grams Condition: Good used condition overall, slight surface wear commensurate with age, overall rich patina.
