An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver sugar basket; an addition to our Georgian silverware collection This exceptional antique George III sterling silver sugar basket with liner has a plain oval rounded form onto an oval swept pedestal foot. The surface of this fine example of Georgian silverware is embellished with bright cut engraved swags to the lower portion, below pierced decorated lozenge designs incorporating further bright cut engraved motifs. The upper portion of the is ornamented with pierced decorated stylized leaf designs. The rim of the body and foot are ornamented with an applied bead decorated border.
