An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver caddy spoon modelled in the form of a jockey cap; an addition to our diverse teaware collection. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique George III sterling silver caddy spoon is realistically modelled in the form of a jockey cap. The outer surface of the cap is encircled with impressive pin struck decoration, reproducing the details of the caps structure and stitching. The button to the crown of the cap is ornamented with an impressive quatrefoil style stellate design, encompassed with a wrigglework decorated border. The plateaued peak/visor of the cap is embellished with further pin struck decoration. This impressive silver spoon will sit on either the convex or concave side of the bowl. This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver tea caddy has an oval form. The surface of the tea caddy is encompassed with bright cut engraved fabric swag designs and floral festoons, suspended from impressive spiralling foliate anchor-points accented with pensile bud designs. Each spiralling motif flanks a shield shaped cartouche displaying the contemporary engraved initials 'WM' and surmounted with a ribbon style bow.
