About the Item
This is a stunning Antique Belgian pair of silver grouse with exceptional detailing to the modelling of the birds, bearing the makers mark ZL and the silver mark A835 405g (13.02 oz.t.), for .835 silver, marked to the underside of the foot, circa 1870 in date.
They are excellent quality examples of these classic decorative items and are of heavy weight. The cock, sporting out stretched wings and a fan tail and the hen is superbly sculpted as if in motion.
Add an elegant touch to your dining table with these wonderful birds.
Condition:
