Antique Regency Style Sterling Silver Four-Piece Tea and Coffee Service

An exceptional, fine and impressive, composite antique Victorian English sterling silver four-piece tea and coffee service/set; part of our silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian four-piece sterling silver tea and coffee service consists of a coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug. Each piece has a pear shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The pieces of this Victorian tea and coffee set are embellished with embossed panels in a swirl design, accented with bright cut engraved segmented quatrefoil leaf motifs on a textured background. One side of each piece incorporates a circular cartouche displaying the engraved initial 'B'. The upper rims are encompassed with plain applied moulded borders. The teapot and coffee pot are fitted with domed hinged hallmarked covers reflecting the identical decoration as that to the body. An exceptional and impressive antique George IV English sterling silver Regency style three piece tea service/set; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This antique George IV sterling silver three piece tea service consists of a teapot, cream jug / creamer, and sugar bowl. Each piece of this impressive set has a rectangular rounded form onto four Regency style feet. The plain body of each piece is encircled with a band of embossed and chased decorated stylised floral motifs on a matte background. The teapot is fitted with a flush hinged, domed hallmarked cover; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this service. The cover retains the original sterling silver rounded rectangular finial embellished with chased stylised rose and leaf decoration, encompassed with a bud border. The teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with C scroll handles, ornamented with applied chased acanthus leaf decorated thumbpieces. Each component of this service is supported by four Regency style bracket style feet ornamented with a shaped claw foot, accented with scrolling leaf decoration and stylised floral motifs.
