A fine mid-19th century Russian tea strainer.
In 84 Zolotnik silver.
By Carl Gustav Ekqvist of St. Petersburg.
The figural bowl in the form of a pear supported by an intertwined 'twig' handle.
With remnants of a gold wash throughout.
Marked to the reverse.
Simply a wonderful, rare piece of Russian silver!

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
The spoon retains some remnants of its original gilding. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some light dings and indentations here and there, some fine and light surface scratches, and other signs of light wear consistent with age.
