This exceptional and rare antique George V sterling silver and glass stamp box has been realistically modelled in the form of a book. The glass body of the box is embellished with moulded decoration replicating the details of the book's pages and ribbed spine. This exceptional box is fitted with a hallmarked mount to the rim and a hinged cover, ornamented with the elucidating engraving 'STAMPS'. The upper plateau of the cover is further ornamented with engraved details, reproducing the book's decoration.
