Antique Sterling Silver Makeup Box
This is an antique silver makeup box, with a compact, rectangular design. Its surface is decorated with a motif of fine, engraved vertical lines, giving it a subtle texture. The curved sides of the box also feature the same pattern, while the discreet, functional clasp is accented by a small piece of green malachite. When opened, a mirror is revealed on the inside of the lid, though it unfortunately shows signs of wear due to age. The hallmarks of 800 silver can be seen inside, indicating its purity.
