An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Victorian Scottish sterling silver kitchen pepper; an addition to our Victorian silverware collection. This exceptional and rare antique Victorian Scottish sterling silver kitchen pepper has a plain cylindrical form. The surface of the body is embellished with an impressive contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a demi-eagle collared, wings displayed. The rim of the cover and foot of this antique silver kitchen pepper are encircled with bands of applied moulded decoration. The pepper retains the original push fit hallmarked cover incorporating a central elevated cylindrical portion ornamented with pierced 'pepper' holes in a floral motif formation. This impressive antique Victorian silver kitchen pepper is fitted with a scrolling handle accented with a plain scrolling thumbpiece. Such Scottish silver examples of this size and shape are rare to the market. Condition This antique Victorian silver kitchen pepper is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver sugar caster, an addition to our silver teaware collection. This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster has a baluster form onto a circular domed spreading foot. The upper and lower portions of this piece are embellished with embossed and chased bead and scroll decoration accenting concave bordered, fluted decoration all in a spiral design. The sugar caster retains the original hallmarked screw fit cover, embellished with pierced decoration incorporating chased and embossed bead and scroll decoration, the screw fit attachment indicates the fine quality of this piece.
