This exceptional antique Victorian cast sterling silver pepperette has been realistically modelled in the form of a cockatoo.
This impressive and rare pepperette is embellished with decoration reproducing the details of the cockatoo's plumage and anatomical features.
The pepperette retains the original fully hallmarked push fit cover/head which features pierced 'pepper' holes.
Such original period pieces are becoming increasingly difficult to locate; this is the finest example of its type you could hope to acquire.
