An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver drinks tray; an addition to our silver tray collection
This exceptional Victorian sterling silver tray has a rectangular form with rounded corners.
The surface of this sterling silver drinks tray is plain and unembellished.
The raised rounded border is ornamented with a cast and applied gadroon decorated border to the rim incorporating impressive shell, leaf, and scrolling designs to the corners.
This Victorian sterling silver tray is supported by four plain bun feet.
Condition
This antique sterling silver tray is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The sterling silver drinks tray has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The cast and applied decoration is sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the tray are all very clear.

Located in Hamilton, Ontario
This large antique silver plated serving tray is signed by an unknown maker and presumed to have originated from England and dating to approximately 1920 and done in a Victorian style. The outside rim is decorated with a leaf and flower motif and accented by the diamond pierced sides, and scroll worked handles. The surface of the tray is engraved with stylized leaves and flowers and the tray is hallmarked on the back and identified as 'Sheffield Reproduction'.
