This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian cast sterling silver nutmeg grater has been realistically modelled in the form of a clam shell.
The cover and body of this antique silver nutmeg grater are embellished with details reproducing the shell's natural exterior.
The hinged hallmarked anterior cover of the Victorian silver nutmeg grater opens to reveal the steel grating grille/rasp, fitted to a hallmarked sterling silver rim.
The interior rim of the cover bears the contemporary engraved inscription 'J. McMenomy'; this could be professionally removed upon request.
This highly desirable nutmeg grater is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
