An exceptional, fine and impressive antique early Victorian English sterling silver Queen's pattern soup ladle; an addition to our Victorian flatware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver ladle has been crafted in the Queen's pattern. The anterior and posterior surfaces of the handle is embellished with the classic Queen's pattern ornamentation, includes a convex shell design to either side of the terminal, in addition to the honeysuckle and rosette design*. This exceptional Victorian silver soup ladle has a plain rounded bowl with an impressive honeysuckle design to the heel. This exceptional and desirable ladle, crafted by the renowned female silversmith Mary Chawner, is one of the finest of its type you could hope to acquire. This elegant Queen's Pattern soup ladle in sterling silver by the acclaimed silversmith Mary Chawner is an exceptional gift for weddings, anniversaries, milestone birthdays or a prized addition for collectors of fine early Victorian silver. * This pattern is most commonly acknowledged/referred to as Queen's pattern, however in the Chawner Co. Pattern Book bears the name 'Rosette'. Condition This antique sterling silver ladle is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The Queen's pattern decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Victorian cutlery.
