About the Item
Representative elegant silver jardinière in an elliptical basic shape, standing flush on a stepped lower edge, outwardly curved wall divided into segments by pilasters, regular vertical openings in the lower half, above that oval
intertwined, openwork volute elements, curved rim at the top edged by a profiled, bundled band running around the entire vessel, large oval panels in the center of the front and back, crowned with bows and framed by garlands of flowers and floral festoons running around the entire vessel, raised, profiled handles with feather leaf onlays on the sides.
Matching glass insert with upper edge adapted to the shape of the vessel and carved stone and fan decoration on the rim protruding above the silver vessel, as well as a large carved star on the bottom.
