Cased John Walsh Crystal
Sterling Silver Cruet Set – Birmingham 1925
A superb early 20th-century English condiment service by John Walsh Crystal, complete with sterling silver mounts by E. Edmonds, fully hallmarked Birmingham 1925. The richly cut lead crystal—featuring deep, geometric facets—produces a brilliant kaleidoscope of reflections.
The complete five-piece set comprises:
A crystal oil or vinegar bottle with stopper
A mustard pot with silver collar, crystal lid, and original silver spoon
A pepper shaker with pierced silver top
A faceted salt cellar
All presented within its original fitted black leatherette case, lined in ivory satin and velvet, trimmed with gilt tooling and secured by a working brass clasp. Case dimensions: 22.5 × 16 × 8 cm.
Condition:
Excellent original condition: crisp, chip- and crack-free crystal; lightly patinated silver consistent with age; case shows only minor surface wear.
