Chinese Export Card Case, circa 1885, embossed and chased with figural scenes on one side with a single vacant shield-shaped cartouche, and bamboo on the other side, both set against a matte background. The card case has a round button on the side that opens the hinged lid which has dragon and cloud decoration.
Retailed by Luen Wo of Shanghai, and with the maker’s mark of Qing (慶).
