A Dutch Silver mustard jar in the shape of a barrel, 1894 A barrel shaped silver mustard jar. The handle of the mustard jar represents a branch with 2 leaves. The silver mustard jar has the Dutch silver hall marks at the bottom with the Dutch silver hall mark " lion 1" Silver purity of 925/000 The hall mark of the silversmith is the manufacturer Koninklijk C.J. Begeer Utrecht, this mark is used between 1868-1920 The Year letter of 1894. The Minerva head (office / assayer mark) is inside the lid. An inscription of a letter "M" in the middle of the barrel The measurement is 9 cm high, 9 cm wide and the depth is 6 cm The weight is 184 gram.

This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain circular form. The body of the mustard pot is encompassed with an exceptional and impressive band of bright cut engraved interlacing decoration accented with a simplified leaf motif. The decoration to the body incorporates a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting an eagle rousant, with wings addorsed and inverted, collared and chained, with an unidentified charge. The upper and lower rims of this fine example of Victorian silverware are ornamented with an impressive applied bead decorated border. This mustard pot is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover encircled with an exceptional interlacing eight-pointed star motif with a central floral design. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a cylindrical-shaped form with a plain circular spreading foot. The body of the mustard pot is encircled with impressive chased shaped-bead designs, each accented with opposing scrolling borders and matte backgrounds; this is a highly desirable design. The decoration to the body includes impressive bands of bead decoration to the upper and lower portions, in addition to applied, moulded borders. This fine Victorian silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged cover surmounted with an impressive cast silver pierced decorated lobed thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is encircled with further chased bead design, composing a central vacant shaped cartouche to the upper plateau. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an impressive cast opposing scrolling handle accented with a leaf design to the handpiece.
