About the Item

This ornate sterling silver wine coaster by Bailey, Banks Biddle features elegant Rococo style decoration. The wide rim is ornamented with scrollwork, floral motifs, and graceful curves, and the deep coaster is engraved to the base with a monogram in script. The fine workmanship reflects the superior quality for which Bailey, Banks Biddle became famous among American jewelers and silversmiths; the base of the wine coaster is marked “Bailey Banks Biddle Company", Sterling, 912. This Rococo style sterling silver wine coaster would make a beautiful accent piece on an end table or sideboard, or as a practical accompaniment to a dinner table. It is perfectly sized to accommodate a standard bottle of red or white wine, and can be easily maintained between uses with light polishing.
