This exceptional antique George V sterling silver teapot has a compressed oval rounded form to a spreading foot. The body of this 1930s silver teapot has a subtly planished finish, all in the Arts and Crafts style. The body of this impressive teapot is encompassed with a plain applied moulded girdle. This George V teapot is fitted with an impressive hinged cover featuring an applied Arts and Crafts style cross design to the upper plateau. The cover retains the original carved, faceted finial, ornamented with inset silver components. This teapot is fitted with the original swept carved handle, ornamented with ribbed decoration to the thumbpiece. The upper socket of the handle is further ornamented with a cross design, reflecting that to the cover. The teapot features a plain, planished swan necked spout, accented with applied moulded ornamentation to either side. This exceptional example of Arts and Crafts silver teaware is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire. Condition This antique 1930s silver teapot is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
