Elegant drageoir, round lid bowl with two handles on a présentoir, made from vermeil, gold-plated 950 silver, a vessel from the Directoire period in France (1795-1799) – transition period from the Louis XVI style to the Empire style.
Bowl with smooth walls and wide, round body, mounted on a round, raised foot, upper edge of the lower foot rim with embossed braided frieze, ribbed node between foot and body, circular floral motifs above at the base of the bowl, chiselled band with volutes and stylised flower and leaf motifs on the upper rim of the bowl, two cast raised volute handles attached to the sides with rolled eagle busts at the upper connection, smooth plug-in lid, raised in the centre to form a pedestal decorated with a palmette frieze on the edge, with an applied leaf rosette and a fully sculpted rose stem with flower and leaves as a knob, slightly moulded présentoir with chased volute, flower and leaf
frieze and palmette border, coat of arms monogram engraving on all parts.

Elegant, festive silver vessel in an oval shape on a stepped base with projecting, pierced rocaille elements, pierced decoration also on the upper rim of the wall with irregular edges, front and back panels surrounded by volutes and rocailles, the narrow sides with towering and intertwined volutes forming two handles, gilded interior.
