Description of the Sterling Silver French Writing Stand
This elegant sterling silver French writing stand is a multifunctional piece dating from the second half of the 19th century. The oval base is finely decorated with an engraved floral pattern, enhanced with a pearl border and a fluted design on the sides. In the center, a classically styled cherub figure, in the act of blowing a trumpet, serves as the central decorative element. The set includes two glass vessels engraved with delicate floral designs, each with a sterling silver lid.

The inkstand is composed of a shaped tray supported by 4 rocailles feet, modeled along the entire profile by finely embossed and chiselled volutes, leaves and shells.
Above the tray are two ink holders and two pen holders with spiral workmanship and highly embossed vegetable decorations.
