This exceptional antique George III sterling silver mustard pot has been realistically modelled in the form of a barrel. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with applied girdles outlining the features of the bilge hoops and quarter hoops. This fine mustard pot is fitted with a hallmarked plain domed hinged cover surmounted with a cast thumbpiece. The mustard pot is fitted with a cast silver thread decorated handle, accented with plain pendant drop design to the upper terminal. This mustard pot retains the original removable blue glass liner.
