An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver photograph frame; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection.
This exceptional antique George V sterling silver photograph frame has an oval, inverted incurved form with a plain oval internal window.
The surface of this early 20th century silver photo frame is plain and embellished.
This impressive antique frame retains the original velvet back and hinged strut, securing with a swivel catch.
The original hinge of the strut bears the patent mark 'PAT No 234608'.
This antique frame is inset with a removable glass panel.
Condition
This antique sterling silver photo frame is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The original velvet covering shows signs of wear, in keeping with age; the piece can be considered to be in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
