A fine and impressive, large antique cut-glass and Austro-Hungarian silver mounted lemonade/water jug; an addition to our wine and drink related collection. This exceptional antique Austro-Hungarian silver and cut glass water / lemonade silver jug has a tapering cylindrical form. The neck is fitted with a fine and impressive substantial silver hallmarked mount with the original hallmarked flat hinged cover and plain swept lobed thumb piece. The cover is further embellished with the impressive contemporary engraved initials 'SC' below a coronet. This antique cut glass lemonade jug is fitted with a plain angular S scroll handle with bracketed curved terminals. The large glass body of the jug is ornamented with a dimpled effect in addition to a star cut motif to the underside of the base. The hallmarks struck to the surface of the impressive mount include: Importer/Retailer's mark: Bachruch (Antal Bachruch) Assay mark: P (Pest, Hungary) Silver quality/purity mark: Dianakopf mark (.800, 800/1000) Condition The mount of this antique lemonade jug is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition. The glass is in perfect condition. The engraved decoration is all very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the mount are all very clear. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Austro-Hungarian silver spice tower; an addition to our silver Judaica collection. This exceptional antique Austro-Hungarian silver spice box has been modelled in the form of a tower. The cuboid shaped spice box is ornamented with exceptional silver filigree work within a plain arched frame. This impressive vessel is fitted with a hinged door embellished with contemporary engraved initials. The upper portion of this impressive antique silver spice tower is embellished with four articulating flag designs encompassing a tapering paneled chute. The tower's chute is ornamented with further filigree and rope twist decoration and terminating with a scalloped knop to an undulating guidon shaped flag. The spice compartment surmounts a plain wirework style pedestal, accented with a further scalloped knop. The square shaped foot is ornamented with filgree decoration and supported by four plain semi-spherical feet. An exceptional, fine and impressive large antique Victorian English sterling silver christening mug; part of our silver christening collection This antique Victorian silver christening mug has a circular, subtly tapering rounded form onto a circular spreading foot. The body of the mug is embellished with exceptional embossed and chased decorated angel/putto* head designs, accented with wing motifs to the nadir. The body of this large mug is further ornamented with large ribbon bow motifs and floral festoons, encompassing the aforementioned portrait designs, all within an arabesque band and matte background. The decoration to the body incorporates a vacant shaped cartouche to the anterior.
