Pair of Austrian Art Deco 'Rock Crystal' and Sterling Owl Salt Pepper Shakers Austria, 1929 A rare find to elevate your dining experience with this exquisite pair of Austrian Art Deco salt and pepper shakers, featuring sterling silver and "rock crystal" owl figurines. Crafted in 1929, these shakers stand at a charming 4.5 inches in height, 3 inches in depth, and 2.5 inches in width. The attention to detail is remarkable, with the owl heads realistically cast and modeled, complete with inset paperweight glass eyes for a lifelike appearance. The historic origin of these shakers is inscribed, linking them to the Lumbermen’s Golf Association of Memphis in 1929. Stamped with "STERLING SILVER" and additional hallmarks, including 935 hallmarks and JC T (?), these shakers boast exceptional craftsmanship and authenticity. The bodies and talons are intricately carved from "rock" crystal, providing a stunning contrast to the sterling silver accents. Though the glass remains unsigned, its quality speaks volumes.
