Giorgio Salimbeni Gold-Plated Sterling Silver and Enamel Photo Frame, Florence, 1970
Elegant rectangular photo frame in 925/1000 sterling silver, gold plated, and richly decorated with translucent fired enamel on guilloché engraving featuring a moiré pattern. The oval opening is surrounded by a finely detailed laurel wreath, reflecting the refined French Empire (Napoleon III) style inspired by 19th-century decorative arts.
The frame includes cut glass and a blue Alcantara back panel, showcasing the attention to luxurious detail typical of Salimbeni’s work.
Designed by Giorgio Salimbeni in 1970, this exceptional piece was handcrafted in Florence at the Salimbeni atelier. It was created entirely by master artisans using thick sterling silver plates reinforced to endure multiple high-temperature enamel firings (approximately 750–800°C).

Designed by Franco Salimbeni in 1968, this exceptional piece was handmade in Florence at the Salimbeni atelier by skilled artisans. It was produced using heavy-gauge silver with reinforced construction, allowing it to endure multiple high-temperature enamel firings (approximately 750–800°C).
