- Condition:Repaired: It "appears" that there has been some restoration to the rim or border of this tray. It s origins as an original, hallmarked Hester Bateman Sterling Silver tray is unequivocal. The quality, heft and rarity of the tray are unaffected. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. As this was part of a museum, their curator had it lacquered to avoid having to clean it so often and most of the lacquer still remains (but there are some illustrations of this beginning to peel from age - easily remedied with lacquer thinner.).
