Hallmarked in London in 1845 by John Stone this unusual Victorian antique sterling silver cafetière (or French press) is of a plain, cylindrical form with a straight spout and a wooden handle and finial. The pot is complete with its original interior press mechanism, which is designed to brew coffee. It measures 9"(23cm) tall, by 10"(25.5cm) from handle to spout and 4"(10cm) deep, and weighs 28.30 troy ounces.
