Being offered is a sterling silver mug by J. B.
S. M. Knowles of Providence, Rhode Island. Engraved “Elinor Louise 1879” in the center of the cartouche it also has leaves and other decorative motifs on each side. Gifted 144 years ago at the time there were only 38 states in the Union and Rutherford B. Hayes was the 19th President of the United States!! We’re going way back and this small treasure is a testament to that fact.
