About the Item

This exceptional vintage sterling silver Tanach binding, crafted by the renowned Dugma of Israel, is a striking example of fine Judaica craftsmanship. The richly adorned cover showcases a prominent depiction of the Luchot HaBrit (Tablets of the Law), flanked by two Stars of David, symbolizing the covenant and divine wisdom. Above the tablets sits an imperial Keter Torah (Crown of the Torah)—a regal emblem of reverence for sacred scripture. Adding to its elegance, two emerald-colored stones are set into the design, enhancing the spiritual and artistic depth of the piece. The cover is set against an intricate checkered background, further embellished with delicate filigree tassels hanging from Stars of David, while the borders are adorned with refined geometric and foliate scrollwork, a testament to the meticulous artistry of the silversmith. The spine features the word תנ״ך (Tanach) prominently in Hebrew, marking this as a cherished volume of the Hebrew Bible. On the reverse cover, twelve star-designed circlets are symmetrically arranged on a harmonious checkered background, echoing the sacred significance of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The borders are framed with matching foliate and geometric scrollwork, maintaining the cohesive beauty of the design. A geometrically designed pierced silver clasp, marked “Sterling,” “Dugma,” and “Israel”, secures the volume, ensuring its lasting integrity. The gilt fore-edges of the pages add a final touch of opulence, reflecting the reverence given to this sacred text.
