About the Item
Here is a lovely smaller-scaled teapot, chocolate pot or pitcher--it could be used for so many things--or it could simply be a beautiful decorative object. The pot is made by Juventino Lopez Reyes of Mexico and is hallmarked on the bottom, MADE IN MEXICO 925, the stylized JLR hallmark, and STERLING. Juventino Lopez Reyes is a well-known Mexican silversmith, highly sought after for his superb modern designs and quality workmanship among silver collectors. He worked at Maciel and opened his own workshop, Plateria del Recero, in 1935.
This gem measures 6" high, 6.75" wide, 4" deep and weighs approximately 14.5 troy ounces.
The pot is in very good condition with only a very small indentation that we only noticed after a light polishing. It's toward the back near the handle about half-way down the pot. We tried to photograph this small imperfection, but were unsuccessful. And we're only mentioning it for total accuracy and transparency--but it by no means detracts from the overall presentation of this stylish piece of sterling by Lopez.

View All1930s Napier Silver-Plate Cocktail Shaker Designed by Emil Schuelke
By Emil Schuelke
Located in Minneapolis, MN
Here is a hard-to-find modernist silver-plate cocktail shaker designer by Emil Schuelke in the mid-1930s and made by Napier Company of Meriden, Connecticut. The cone-shaped shaker consists of two pieces--the top can be used for measuring ingredients. This example is in good condition--there are no deep scratches or dents. There some silver losses on the body and top of the shaker and the inside strainer has loss as well. You can tell the shaker has been used--there is wear to the interior. We've included several photos which represent the condition well. But all in all, this shaker presents nicely and would make a great addition to any bar or cocktail shaker collection.
From Wikipedia: "Napier silver designs from the first half of the 20th century are in museum collections including the Brooklyn Museum, Newark Museum and a substantial collection at the Dallas Museum of Art. Over the years, Napier silver has been featured in museum exhibitions, including Modernism in American Silver: 20th Century Design at the Smithsonian in Washington, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Wolfsonian in Miami Beach, the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, and the Dixon Gallery and Gardens in Memphis, TN (2005–07). Napier designs have also been included in two shows at the Brooklyn Museum, entitled 19th century Modern (2011–12; 2013–15). In November 2016-November 2017, the iconic Napier penguin cocktail shaker...

Aldo Tura Ice Bucket -- Red Goatskin
Brass Square -- Mid Century Italian
By Aldo Tura
Located in Minneapolis, MN
Here is a very attractive mid-century ice bucket by Italian designer Aldo Tura. This model is in a beautiful red parchment with brass accents. Although the metal is brass, it has almost more of a warm silver tone--only pointing this out for accuracy--the pictures show the color fairly accurately. The glass liner is intact. There are some scratches to the parchment (the deepest is shown in a photo) and the brass has some roughness and minor pitting--mostly on the lid. None of these imperfections take away from the overall presentation of this unique piece.
The ice bucket measures just over 11" high with the handle raised and 8.5" to the top of the lid's pull. At its widest, it measures 7.75". The goatskin cube...
