An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver and enamel card case; an addition to our range of silver boxes and cases.
This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver card case has a rectangular form with rounded corners.
The anterior surface of this antique card case is embellished with a fine and impressive vibrant hot enamel illustration depicting a jockey on a horse, from the reverse perspective.
The posterior surface and sides of this antique Victorian case are plain and unembellished.
This sterling silver
enamel card case is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover and opens to reveal the original gilded interior.
The rim of this antique card case bears the retailer's mark 'Thornhill, New Bond St, London', in addition to the full hallmarks.

This antique sterling silver
enamel card case is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The enamel scene is in perfect condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim are all very clear.
