About the Item

Unusual, sterling silver and black onyx-mounted hinged crystal inkwell, American, circa 1920s-1930s. 12-sided, faceted, clear crystal lid is mounted by a 12-sided piece of black onyx. Underside of lid and rim mount are sterling silver. Measures 3 1/4 inches high x 3 1/4 inches in diameter at widest point. Minor scratches on underside of inkwell (see photos) commensurate with age and use. Dark spots on crystal and silver in photos are reflections. Excellent condition.
