The highly attractive bombe shaped body having open handles and fitted with a detachable conforming lid, raised overall on four out-swept supports. Both the body and lid bearing impressed London hallmarks with date mark for 1903 and partially rubbed makers marks for C.S. Harris

A very fine
impressively large silver plated soup tureen by Elkington
Company of London with a capacity to hold 4 quarts.
The substantial oval body having open handles, richly decorated with embossed
engraved foliate motifs
centered by blank foliate cartouches, the conforming lid bearing engraved heraldic crests.
Raised overall upon a stepped oval foot, with the underside bearing impressed factory marks for Elkington
Co., together with date letter for 1884.
In extremely good overall condition, and priced competitively in comparison to similar examples in the marketplace.
