An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver cream jug and sugar presentation set - boxed; an addition to our antique teaware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver afternoon teaware set consists of a cream jug, a sugar bowl, six teaspoons and pair of sugar tongs. The cream jug and sugar bowl have an oval rounded form onto a circular spreading stepped bead decorated base. The bodies of the sugar bowl and creamer are embellished with panels of fine chased and embossed floral and foliate decoration on a matte background incorporating a shaped vacant cartouche to one side. The cream jug is fitted with an impressive chased floral and scroll decorated S scroll handle, with a looped upper terminal. The fine set of spoons has been crafted in the Onslow style augmented with chased floral and foliate decoration to the shaped terminals. The bowls of the spoons are ornamented with fine chased exotic masks on a radiating sunburst design. The handles of the tong are embellished with further floral, foliate and scroll decoration. This Victorian silver cream and sugar set retains the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior and a push fit catch. The interior of the box bears the retailer’s mark ‘The Association of Diamond Merchants Jewellers Silversmiths, 6 Grand Hotel Buildings Trafalgar Square London’. Condition The components of this antique set are a very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The box is in excellent condition in keeping with age. The embossed and chased decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the cream jug and sugar bowl, to the reverse of each spoon and interior of the tongs are all very clear. A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver cream and sugar presentation set made by Charles Stuart Harris - boxed; part of our silver teaware collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver afternoon teaware set consists of a sugar bowl, a cream jug, six teaspoons and a pair of sugar tongs. The cream jug and sugar bowl have a circular rounded form and ornamented with embossed and chased segmented floral and leaf motifs. The cream jug is fitted with a C scroll handle accented with a figurehead ornamentation. Both the cream jug and sugar bowl retains the original gilt interior. Each teaspoon has been crafted in the Old English pattern. The anterior surfaces of the teaspoon handles and the bridge of the sugar tongs are embellished with panels of bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration, accented with star motifs and incorporating a bead bordered vacant oval cartouche. This impressive cream and sugar set is fitted to the original fine and impressive hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, which secures with a push fit catch. The interior of the box bears the mark ‘By Appointment, Elkington & Co, Manchester’ beneath a Royal coronet amidst the initials VR. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver three piece condiment/cruet set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian English sterling silver condiment set consists of a mustard pot and two condiment shakers. The shakers have a circular rounded form to a circular pedestal foot and the mustard pot has an oval form onto four bun style feet. The surface of each component is encircled with impressive pierced decoration, comprising interlacing arch and oval designs accented with circular motifs. The upper and lower portion of the mustard pot is further embellished with a gadroon decorated border, and the posterior surface bears a shaped sterling silver handle. The exceptional mustard pot is fitted with the original domed hinged cover, surmounted with baluster shaped finial. These condiment shakers each retain the original domed hallmarked push fit cover ornamented with pierced decoration. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver communion set; an addition to our diverse religious silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian cast sterling silver communion set consists of a chalice, paten and wine phial/flask. The chalice has a circular baluster form onto a knopped pedestal and spreading foot. The surface of the antique chalice is ornamented with impressive embossed quatrefoil cartouches bearing contemporary engraved initials 'IHS'*. The surface of the drinking vessel is further embellished with impressive flat engraved decoration, emanating from the protruding cartouches, in addition to encircling the upper rim below a plain moulded border. The knops to the panelled pedestal are encompassed with bead decoration. The circular foot of this exceptional chalice is encircled with flat engraved arched geometric designs. The paten has a circular-shaped form to a plain circular foot.
