About the Item
This 2 part candle snuffer is from the late 19th century Victorian. The snuffer shears are sterling silver except for the part that puts out the flame. It has many hallmarks. The tray is not sterling silver. This is when entertaining took a different turn with elegance and all proper pieces. This is from 1880. The tray is 10" W/L x 3.5" D and 0.5" H. The candle snuffer which has a hinged scissor like mechanism is 7" L/W x 2" H x 2" D. THIS HAS NOW been marked down TO a great deal. There will be no further reductions or offers. Thank you.
