A fine and impressive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver presentation bowl made by William Comyns
Sons Ltd; an addition to our silver dining collection.
This fine vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver presentation bowl has a circular rounded form, in the classic armada dish style.
The centre of the circular well is surmounted with a cast hallmarked silver figure wearing a military uniform and parachute backpack; this figure was crafted by the renowned silversmiths Garrard
Co Ltd in 1965.
The broad rim is encircled with two bands of tooled decoration and bears the contemporary bright cut engraved inscription 'To Colonel "Jimmy" from all your friends in 44 Parachute Brigade'.
This impressive vintage silver bowl was crafted by the renowned London silversmith Richard Comyns of William Comyns
Sons Ltd.
Condition
This vintage silver ashtray is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The bowl has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim and model are all very clear.

This exceptional antique George VI English sterling silver bowl has a plain circular rounded form onto a circular spreading foot.
The body of this silver quaich bowl is plain and unembellished, apart from a band of applied moulded decoration to the rim.
This antique bowl is fitted with an exceptional quaich style hand piece ornamented with applied scrolling leaf and floral motifs, all on a matte background.
The terminal of the handle is embellished with further applied scrolling leaf designs accented with floral medallions and a bead decorated border.
