About the Item
Outstanding historical desert or breakfast plates by Villeroy
Boch, Wallerfangen, 1864.
This old series is somewhat rare. Being able to offer even a full set is an absolute delight and honour.
Off-white ceramic with antique style decoration of griffins and orange hearts shaped by green vines,
all placed on a matte black background.
Series D.214, with particularly intricate decoration and detail.
The famous Series 'Intarsia' might have been inspired by this original from the 19th century.
