The cup measures 4-inches wide x 3-inch diameter x 3 inches high executed in porcelain with gilt enamels the center painted with a courting couple in a garden flanked by floral ovoid floral cartouches, with attached handle.
The saucer measures 6.25 -inch diameter x 1..75 inches high executed in Battersea enamel with the same pink background and complimentary decoration, the center painted with a architectural landscape,
Its been suggested that this unique cup and saucer made of differing materials is decorated by the same hand/factory. Possibly a internal factory experiment or an end of day creation by a premiere artist, or a peculiar special order.
