From pasta primavera to world-renowned decadent desserts, Le Cirque's ubiquitous reputation for presenting its fine dining fare with whimsy and fun, landed it on the map of must-dine destinations in New York for glitterati and foodies alike. No matter the location, monkeys and circus themes remained a design staple of the iconic restaurant. Although the landmark restaurant's NYC doors are now closed. Villeroy Boch custom porcelain oval plates for Osterio del Circo (Le Cirque) restaurants. Designed by Adam D. Tihany. The plates with red trapeze artist, tightrope and ladder. Marked on verso designed by Adam D. Tihany exclusively for Osteria del Circo. Plates were used in Le Cirque New York after 1995. Measurements: 11" x 8 1/2" x 3/4" Condition: Service and glaze wear consistent with repeated restaurant use, no chips or cracks.
