About the Item
This stunning Art Deco set of twelve chrome and Galalith knife or chopstick rests was crafted in France circa 1930. Each piece features a modernist shape with a long, chromed metal stick bar and geometric side holders in off-white Galalith, accented with a textured pattern. There is no visible maker's mark, and the set is still in its original gift box.
Measurements (for one): 3.57 in wide (9 cm) by 1.19 in deep (3 cm) by 1 in high (2.5 cm).
Gift box: 14 in wide (35.5 cm) by 6.5 in deep (16.5 cm) by 1.57 in high (4 cm).
